Ms Opal Lee presented with an Honorary Doctorate Degree

The Texas Christian University, presented Ms Opal Lee with an Honorary Doctorate Degree. As reported by the university via their Instagram,

“Opal Lee was presented an Honorary Doctor of Letters for her work as an educator and civil rights activist. She is known as the grandmother of Juneteenth and worked for years to see Juneteenth become a national day of observance.”
